Hello Everyone,
I applied for permanent residence in Canada in May 2005. Recently they asked me to take Eng prof. test and I took IELTS and my scores are as under:
Listening: 6.5
Reading: 6.0
Speaking: 6.5
Writing: 8
Overall Band: 7
Under current rule I am getting 12 marks.
How much marks the IO will give me with these scores when my file is being processed under old system ?
Thanks for all replies

Yes, you will get 12 points not with the old system, even though if you have given this test before Nov 28th 2008. This is because Visa Officer can reward you points if it goes in your favor, so if the new rules giving you more points, your points will be calculated under that and if old rules give you more points then you will be considered under that, however only pre Nov 28th applicant has this choice, post nov 28th applicant do not have the choice and what they see, that's what they get.
So in other words, yes, you will be rewarded with 12 points.
