Hi,
People who have the score of band 7 and above in different sections. Could you please share the Books/Blogs/websites or other resources which you used to prepare. It would help people like me who have to give re-test in a few weeks.
I scored 8/8/6.5/7(LRWS). I missed CLB 9 by 0.5 in writing. This is how I prepared for my exam. I referred to only one website http://ieltsliz.com/. Listening:
Listened to BBC podcasts.
Gave Cambridge Listening tests (thanks to youtube).
Reading
Watched all Liz's videos for true/false/NG or other tips.
Gave all 4 tests of Cambridge IELTS 13.
Read a few articles online and searched for the meaning of new words.
Writing:
Task 1: Wrote a few from the recent exam topics.
Task 2: Wrote 2-3 essays of all kinds(opinion/adv.-disadv./discussion).
Read a few essays online.
Speaking:
Practiced most of the recent speaking question with a friend.
It would be great if you guys can share how you prepared.

Official Cambridge IELTS General passages
Speaking
Practiced with a friend but not much time spent on this one.
Writing
Task 1: Not much practice as I write similar emails all the time in real life.
Task 2: Spent most of my time on preparing for this one. My grammar and vocab are good. But IELTS is a test and I wanted to know what exactly they will be testing. So saw the ieltzliz videos to understand what is required in IELTS task 2.
Read a lot of model essays online classified as Band 8 or Band 9 essays.
Practiced to generate ideas based on topics. So initially I just read the topic of the essay and I used to write down ideas related to the topic.
Practiced writing the introduction paragraph based on inputs on ieltsliz website.
Reviewed concepts of complex sentences and other forms of sentences.
Practiced writing 8-10 essays and got them reviewed from a friend who was also appearing for IELTS
