I am new to this forum, but have been able to have an overall view of how things work. I have attempted the exam 4 times, because I need an overall 8 in all the categories. I need help with my listening especially. Anybody with useful hints. I have few days to prepare.
Just listen Very carefully, if you missed a answer just skip the question else you will be stressed and have a chance of Leaving lot of question unanswered.
And tips to score on listening is to watch lot of English movies. It help you to Grasp more words.

You mean 8 in IELTS?? That's really high. I don't think native speakers can achieve this w/o intensive training. What immigration category are you applying under?
Well, I was asking the OP as I didn't think any immigration category would require such a high score. Maybe he's talking about CLB level, which is still high for level 8. I think they just require CLB 7 for NOC 0 or A under CEC, NOC B should be even lower...
I honestly wish I do not need this much score. As it turns out.. I do and every tips will be useful. I will take on boards tips like watching more movies.
I am over 40 years, so to qualify I must be in CLB of 8 and above. I needed only 0.5 more in the listening Module to qualify. I will not give up.
