Hoping to get some advice through this medium.
I sat the IELTS general exam on July 8th, but had problems hearing the cd clearly (echoing and muffled) even though it was tested multiple times. I submitted the Test Day Incident Form on the same day, but received no further updates from the Test Centre. Result was a reflection of my challenge on the day, a disappointing 6.5, my lowest score.
I followed up on my own with the British Council via email and they advised that the matter would be investigated and I would be updated. On August 10th they informed that the US team that is responsible for my Centre confirmed that I can re-take the test. However, my Test Centre has not informed me of this decision. What further steps can I take, and has anyone else in this forum found themselves in a similar situation? I am worried that too much time has elapsed.
