I've listened to few practice tests. It seems like all speakers had British or Australian accent. It's not surprising since the tests are administered by Cambridge. Canadians speak just like Americans so I had assumed at least some sections would have North American accent. I'll have to really practice listening since it's difficult to follow English accent. My question is: Are all listening tests based on non-Canadian accent. Thanks.

Can anyone give suggestions on how to do good in section 3 of the listening test?

Practice…. and watch news form BBC or CNN and try to focus on the details.. its help you to understand 3rd part.
In Test you should read & understand the questions of 3rd part before they start.

Best of luck

Yes I agree...practice...by watching different movies and bbc plus cnn....specially the business hours as they have people from different parts of the world talking and you get the whole mix of accents....Go to the theatre and watch movies too..I did...Just relax and do not let it get to you.
And yes I also advise you to look at the questions first.

best of luck!

Well...if you are sitting an English test then you have to speak and listen to English; not to rely on American or Canadian English. I wonder who call it English whereas it's American and Canadian. I would call it Amenglish and Caniglish as Chinglish in China and Pinglish in Pakistan, Jinglish in Japan, etc.....haha...
