IELTS IDP VS BRITISH COUNCIL

Hi Friends,

Just wanted to let future candidates know that its better to give BC rather than IDP. Gave test in both, but idp scored me way down than what i had given 3 years ago in bc. Basically idp thinks that my english has become way bad after 4 years wtf?. So avoid IDP if you want better marks, specially the one in brampton ontario canada.

I have only ever tried through BC and not IDP. Didn't know that their marking system was different. I thought it was standardised.

Believe me from my experience, its not standardized. If a white person takes it they will give less marks specially with IDP. Its better to give BC and from own country. Rather than Canada.

Do not believe people who say its same. Do not.

I have taken four time Twice with BC and twice with IDP. Always got same score.
At least in india they are same.

British Council one seems easier than IDP in Canada.

I know this is an old thread , I’m in Dubai, I just got my score and it’s horrible totally unacceptable 6 overall???? I was expecting a 9 or at least an 8 .
I have many friends that went with BC and got way higher grades than I did and they weren’t as confident as I was.
