IELTS (GT) - Sep 6th experience

Hello Guys,

To those who are done with IELTS - GT on 6th , please share your exp in READING module with section 1,2 and 3. and the difficulty u experienced. I am appearing on 20th sep.

I took the exam on 6 september 2014 but Iam worried about something, i wrote all the listening and reading answers in uppercase (capital letters) is there any problem about that or i will lose marks?

Well, there is not any problem with the uppercase answers.

You are good to go. No issue with capital letters.

Same here too. Listening was hard (especially at the end)
Reading is easier than many practice exams, writing was ok. I didn't have enough time to actually count the number of word, but I wrote the full 2 sides on task 2. :'( (I guess I'm just gonna wait for the results, can't do anything about it)

Just relax , probably listening will be dealt leniently.

Listening 8.5
Reading 7
Writing 6
Speaking 8
Overall 7.5

That goes the opposite of my expectation (I thought I did bad on Listening and good on writing :)
Anyway I got what I need and I am a happy camper now ;D

Speaking is the easiest thing. Just need to relax and be calm . If you try too hard there will be mistakes.
Do not take much time in answering the questions, do not try and go at fast pace , going at fast pace does not show fluency.

In Listening concentrate on what is been said. Never look back , if you miss couple of answers. If you hear properly you can make calculated guess towards the end. Thus very important to hear very well. Do not make spelling mistakes.

In writing make sure you write what is asked , doing the task is critical. Make sure you finish the whole thing in 50 mins and have 10 mins to look for silly mistakes, you will easily find 4 - 5 of them .

In reading do not waste time over a question if you cannot find an answer. Just proceed.
Make sure you finish the first two sections in about 20 mins. You must keep time for last section , at least 15
20 mins because last section you would need to read properly. IN true false , not given , read those sentences properly and do not assume. If something is Not given do not try and find it forcefully.
