I am doctorate in chemistry. I am already teaching in india. How much ielts score i need for teaching in canada. I need to know individual scores. And which ielts i should give academics or general training.

1. You need General to apply for Immigration.
2. You will probably need Academic to upgrade you credentials to attend University Teacher training ( a must for most provinces)
3. Note that teaching it is really hard to get a job, you could spend 4-5 years as a Teacher on Call list, before getting a permanent job.

1. To teach in Canada, you need a one - two year teaching training course after your completed degree, before any local school board will hire you.

System Restricted and Subject Restricted Independent School Teaching Certificates

• TOEFL iBT: a total score of 98 with a minimum of 23 on reading, 23 on listening, 27 on speaking and 25 on writing
• IELTS Academic: overall band score of 6.5 with no band below 6 and with a minimum of 7 on the speaking and writing bands.
