i am planning to submit my application by may 11,because i will get my IELTS results by 10th may. unfortunately there is no dates available in any cities near me for my wife to appear for the exam ,so can i submit my wife IELTS to CHC soon after i get the result of my wife's ielts. will they accept that.?
NO. YOur application will be locked at the initial submission date as far as meeting the minimum requirements are concerned. So they will reject your application if you don't have enough points initially.

why would you want to submit an application knowing that it will certainly be rejected since it does not meet the minimum points criteria? Isn't it better just to wait and apply when you get enough points?

One more question i have is, my wife has 1 yr. work exp. in laboratory. if i show that work exp. will i will get some points added to my file as i am getting for my wife's IELTS?
No point for spouse's work or education if you apply after May.

Thanks Namaste for your reply. But i am FSW1 - applied in April 2011. You can find my timeline on the left. So, for my case will these things help to increase my total points more than 70?
Sure - but it will take 3-4 months (if not more) for the application to be returned to you so that you can resubmit it. By that time the cap will most likely be reached and CIC won't be accepting additional applications. Don't send the application in until it's complete and you have enough points to meet the 67 point minimum.
Oh, I thought you were planning on applying again. If you have already applied in 2011, and already got a positive assessment, then why should you be concerned about how many points you get? You are through that stage and the new rules will not affect your application. Your points will be locked in at the time you submitted the application. Seems like you are waiting for your medical. So, nothing will expedite your process now except may be if you got a permanent job offer from Canada.
