IELTS Application form - Test Centre

I am planning to take IELTS test, while filling the application form I noticed that there is no place to mention my choice of test centre. Do they allocate the centre/city based on out mailing address? Fyi I am from Winnipeg and I want to take the test in Winnipeg. Do I need to send a cover letter or something? Please let me know.

No, you can just go to IELTS website and find the testing center that you would like to take your test in and register with them.

Seems like there are no testing dates in the upcoming months in Winnipeg(there are usually more testing centers in Ontario and BC), you will need to register for the exam in other cities and take it there. I lived in Victoria, BC and I had to go to Vancouver for my exam because they didn't offer the test in Victoria.

The testing center that is most close to Winnipeg is in "Regina, Saskatchewan", the link below has the testing dates for Regina:

Thanks johnny31. Infact I was looking to book a date online initially. Since I didn't get one, I was planning to send a hard copy of the application. Allocating test center of their choice posts a bit of inconvenience! Again thanks for your response!.
