Hi all,

Currently on IEC visa, 2 weeks left. I am in the process of applying to PR. Just finishing uploading documents.
I was under the impression that I would move onto 'Applied Status' once I apply.
I then realised that I need to apply for a 'Bridging Work Permit'.

Am I right in saying once I submit my PR, I can apply for a 'Bridging Work Permit'?
Will I have to stop working if I don't receive a 'Bridging Work Permit' by the time my IEC visa expires?

Any help is greatly appreciated in aiding this confused mess I've found myself in.

Once you submit your eAPR and receive your AOR you can apply for a BOWP.

You can continue working under implied status as long as you send your application for a BOWP before your current work permit expires.
