Hi, I just got invitation for IEC 2019 and currently undergoing biometrics info submission.
So basically, I'm planning to apply for Provincial Nominee Programs in Manitoba or Alberta. (I do think Manitoba will be better for my plan) to get Permanent Resident.
I feel like I should make a good use of 1 yr work permit I will have in Canada via IEC, and I have few questions that I need help with.
1. Since I do not hold skills for in-demand occupations in Manitoba, I will need 12 months of full-time job experience to apply. Let's say I have worked since day 1 in Canada with IEC visa. Will I be able to apply for MPNP at the last day and be able to extend my stay as 'implied status'?
2. If it is not for 1., will I be able to extend my work permit from IEC to closed work permit(to the place I've been working) without LMIA?
3. Would simple retail clerks be able to get LMIA?

1. No - simply applying for a PNP program does not give you implied status or allow you to keep working. To qualify for a work permit based on applying through a PNP program, your application must have been accepted and the nomination approved. This takes time.
2. No - LMIA will be required.
3. Unfortunately it's highly unlikely.
