Hi guys, I applied for a police clearance certificate from my home country, Vietnam, but I forgot to use passport as identity document. Instead I used national identity card, which was shown in the final police clearance certificate. Does anyone have any idea if this would cause any problem or get my application rejected? Many thanks.

Logically speaking end of the day it is the PCC which counts, now what can be used or not used as an identity document to get PCC issued can differ in each country and should not be an issue. PCC must be having your name and photograph to identify you I assume.

Normally in other countries it is with photograph, if that's how it is in Vietnam, then IRCC must be aware of that.
Just attach your national ID card copy along with PCC when you upload to give you complete peace of mind. So that it is crystal clear that it is for you only.
