I would like to know how the Student permit verification happens from IRCC.

I am not sure how the IRCC works on validating study permit applications. I can see some files are taking more than 45 days to get the final decision and a few cases are pending for more than 2 months, some lucky people are getting the final decision within 15-20 days.
Does IRCC process the files by rolling dies? because we submitted our application on the 22nd Feb and medicals are updated on the 6th of March. after that file is in review status.
we are worried because our college class registrations are already started (we do not have a choice to choose the timings of the classes).
If I check the trend of PPR, people who submitted their application in mid of March like 15th-16th are getting results in 15 days (who are enrolled for sept intake). It seems IRCC dice is yet to roll our number.
Can you please advise what happens to the application after medicals passed? Is my file assigned to an inactive V.O? or It went to the backlog?

You only applied on February 22 with processing around 10 weeks. Processing times really depend where you live and what office the application went to. Some countries have high backlogs and few staff so processing will be longer. There is nothing you can do. If your file has yet to start eligibility review then you have some time left.
@Naturgrl Thanks for the response, My file eligibility review has already begun, and it is in process since 6th March. That is making me feel concerned because, people whose eligibility starts, are getting visas within a week or 2 weeks.
On a curious note, What exactly happens in eligibility review and background check? Do they wait for the response from any other service?
I think it depends in so many different things,
I applied from inside canada on march 11, it says now 2 weeks processing time, never had an answer, btw; i am applying for sd + sowp and it looks like they make decision on both applications at the same time. And sowp takes usually longer processing time, so it depends on different factors for different applications

Don’t compare your profile to others…no sense. Eligibility review is when your application is reviewed and whether it meets IRCC laws and regulations to be issued a study permit.

Thanks for the response. I am little worried because my college starting date is coming soon. When was submitting my profile, I was having the visa decision can be done in 20-30days. but it is taking longer than expected.
Hope we will get positive response soon!!
