I want to sponsor my wife from outside, but I did not file taxes in Canada

I know I am asking so many questions, I left Canada in 2003 and since then did not file any taxes in Canada, now I want to sponsor my wife, will not filing taxes affect my application?

I can assure them that when we return I will bring with me around 60,000 CAD to open a small business.

I don't have any property in Canada, job offers there, or any freinds, what are my chances.

Is it better I go there first and apply for my wife from Canada or is it fine to go ahead with soponsring her from outside Canada

There's no problem if you did not file taxes in Canada, as long as you can provide proof of income from the country you are living in. Provide bank statements that attest your savings, write a letter detailing your plans about returning to Canada. If there are no red flags about your relationship or about your intentions of returning to Canada, I think you will be fine. Even more than fine, if you will provide them the proof of having 60.000 CAD in the bank
