My imagination lawyer in canada applied my work permit application last week of february and after two days later they asked me to go to nearest visa center to give my biometric. But untill now I didn't received any approval letter from CIC. In the web site still it's says still processing. My agent is asking me to give resignation to my current company as soon as possible and approval will come soon. Without any approval letter I am scared to give resignation if i didn't get approval soon after resignation I will loose my current job. What I have to do please advice

First they send me a letter saying that they came to an final decision on my application and need my passport, So i gave my passport to visa center my passport. Then again two days later after i handover my passport i received another email saying my work permit has been approved by CIC,I received my passport with TRV after one week
ok i also received TRV after a week i submitted to VAC but what approval letter which says your application to canada has been approved, how much did this letter take after you received TRV?
When you give your passport to VAC they take some time to deliver your passport to embassy. Once they stamp you TRV to your passport they send you the email saying that your work permit has been approved. It takes 2-3 working days to get the email in a perfect world.
ohh man , i received my TRV 15 days back and still havent got the approval letter, dont know whats the status. Because once decision has been taken approval shouldnt be an issue.
yes so in my case i received the decision one like 15 days ago and since then am awaiting approval letter, even one of my friend got it in a day but in my case its been more than 2weeks.
yes i have received the passport from like 2 weeks back and yes i tried to contact embassy but they said that i could travel without that letter and i would receive it at the airport from the officials but my lawyer in canada said not to make any travel plans before the approval letter as work permit would only be issued after that approval letter. I will try contacting embassy again and see what they have to say.
yes that is correct they need your approved letter in the immigration office in the airport to issue you the work permit. Ask your lawyer to inquire about that behalf of you
ya i will do that, wanted to know whether there are still any chances of rejection even after decision has been taken? and what about the time they say like in my case was 11 weeks when submitted. so is this thing also included in 11 weeks once TRV is issued?
