I send my passport using Canada post but I send it to courier address. Will it cause my passport lost?

I sent my passport by Canada post but I wrote courier address. Now the tracking number shows that the passport is delivered, but there is no update whether ircc complete my application or not. But canada post delivered it to the courier address. Does sending to another address cause my passport lost?
If you want to save time, I suggest you ask the courier to deliver for to the correct address, unless it's a P.O. box or some such. Otherwise, maybe have them return to you. In that case, probably best to pay their fee to deliver to you. I am not sure that I would simply ask them to put it in the mail, to either destination.
I suspect the courier will ask for some sort of fee to do just about anything.
