Hi.ok this is what i need to know. me and my wife are planning on entering canada soon. she is from germany. this is here first time entering canada. I want to do a inland application. from what i understand my wife can enter canada visa free. for up to six months. Once we enter we will apply for her permanent residency. does this work? We canada just enter canada and apply? we dont need any special paper work or visa? to do this? Sorry im just really confused by the internet. i just need a straight answer from someone who knows.
also we are wanting to do her medical. we called a place in germany and they said it would cost 250 euros plus we need a ciu. is it a better idea to get this done in canada? is it cheaper? also what is a ciu is it important? can we get one while we are in canada? thank you
Just want to suggest applying outland even if you are in Canada. The process is much faster than inland. Plus inland you can't leave Canada while your application is processed.
I believe you will need to get an ETA first but then you can visit for the 6 months. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/eta.asp

for inland
she can enter canada as a visitor, if you tell cbsa that she would apply for inland , she may get a stamp more than 6 months.
After she applies for inland app and open work permit, she can stay in Canada legally as implies status and does not extend to her visitor visa.
(should apply before her visitor visa is expired)
it costed me for about CAD 250 for medical ( in MB). heard some province would cost more.
FYI: inland and outland have different application package.
so you might wanna check it out first, and get all docs you can get from Germany.
if you need a doc from Germany while you are in Canada, it would take some time and money to get it.
