Hi to everyone,
I am having a problem. When i was sending my full documents last year in June 2010, i asked for a new updated reference letter. The institutions in which i worked had given me reference letters when i finished my contract. So when i contacted them to have an updated reference letter as stipulated by CIC, the 1st institution took so long to give me a reply. I called the 2nd and the said they had given me one so they will not give again and the last one gave same answer, that they had given me one.

At this stage i had no choice, but to write a cover letter to Visa Office and send the old reference letters with no duties. But in my contract letter there were some duties, but not exactly similar to those by CIC.

In June 2009 I e.mailed Visa office to find out about my file and they replied your file is in process. I was happy at least that they accepted my file with the old reference letters. I tried to call my institutions guessing that the Visa office might call for verification, but i discovered that the numbers were not going through and one was constantly falling on the fax machine. I e.mailed a colleague and she told me of the changes in the institution, so i got the new numbers and called the new Dean and explained to him. he agreed to issue me a new letter and with the new phone numbers and website of the school. I then i had the chance to e.mail all the other schools to ask them about new updated reference now including duties and responsibilities.

Since i am out of that country , it took long for the mails to reach me. The 1st new updated reference letter came, in this one i had three years of working experience i decided to send it to visa office, this is because i did not know when the other institutions will send theirs. With the 3 years i think it is better.

The 2nd institution sent theirs and the last one insisted they will not issue any new reference letter. This time the information was sent by e.mail, so i could print and send to the visa office.

I sent the 2nd one plus the e.mail from the 3rd institution that they will not issue any reference letter to Visa office, i have been tracking it till date and for the past one month it has not been received.

I went to the post office and reported and they themselves checked and saw that the mail was not delivered.

My question now is what should i do at this present moment?

When i asked for the reference i asked for 3 copies, so i have extra copies with me right now. Should i send another copy including the letter from the post office indicating that the mail was missing?

Please i need help from everyone who can suggest.

Thanks Canadaforall.

Send your VO another set of copies - now thru a Reputed Courier, so that it gets delivered.
