I need a visa to Canada to visit my mother seriously ill

I am Cuban. Right now I am living in Hungary and I have a temporary residence permit here for study reasons.

My mother that lives in Canada is seriously ill with a brain tumor and she's dealing between life and death as we speak. She made a claim for refugee status in Canada and actually she's waiting for the answer.

My question is:

Can I apply for a humanitarian visa to go to Canada to see my mother in this moment?

What can of visa would it be?

I'm very sorry for your mother's situation.

There is no humanitarian visa for visitors. You would apply for a simple TRV / tourist visa which would allow you to come to Canada as a visitor if the TRV is approved.
