Hi all,
I require a help..really confused..
I have a total experience of 3.3 years in the same employer with same NOC code
The only problem is that I worked for 1.8 years and then had a year break then joined back and worked for 1.7 years.i do have a minimum eligibility for the FSWP stream of 1 year and full time. However my consultant is saying they cant count the months since Cic says it should be continous so can consider only 2 years only.. I am loosing my points here
My next question is when we create the express entry profile how the tool consider our total work experience points??? Crs tool in CIC website I had to enter my years of experience.
I am new here. Appreciate your time andresponses. Wish luck to all aspirants here..lovely group
I'm not an expert on these matters but it appears to me that you've more than 3 years of total work experience and not just 2.
Good luck.
Edit: Just a suggestion - if you haven't already hired the consultant, just save your money and do it yourself. Express Entry is fairly easy and you've this forum if you get stuck with something.
Thanks.. Its a relief.. But my consultants were claiming I had a break of a year in between so can consider only 2 years. I just want to know when I create the EE profile, system consider points for 3 years when I input the dates with my break in bet.
Unfortunately I gave money to them.. We were concerned about documentation... In case we do a mistake, now I have a feeling I should have thought of that before. Such a wonderful opportunities available through forums..helpful people like you all
Oh ok
. So that means when I enter my employment details during ee profile creation they will provide me scores for my 3 years experience?? in consideration of my 1 year gap

Got it. I am eligible.. I do have same NOC for 3.3 years with a year gap after 1.8 years continous service.. I am clear now, thanks a lot for your help..it was bit confusing..
My agents are still saying the EE system will only give me points for 2 years experience. :-(.. I am applying for FSW
My experience is 1.8 years then a year break then 1.7 years. All in same company and NOC. They say 8 months and 7 months cannot be considered since it dont meet a year and system pushes it and take only 2 years since I have a gap.
Anyone with such an experience.. I am getting lots of opinion.. People who had such instances or created Ee profile might know well..please help me clarifying. Thanks
The best way to know is to enter your work experience as it is (input 2 work history records, one for each of the duration in the job) and the system will calculate your score for you...

Yeah.. I guess thats the only way.. Instead of creating a Ee profile is there any way to calculate the work experience?! I am waiting for my Eca to create the profile
Dear Shurthy.
The more people you ask, the more different type of answers you will get.
I have two suggestions for you.
1. I also worked for the same employer but halfway through my employment there was an organizational change and my position was renamed. So total experience of 4 years became: Position 1: 2.5 years, Position 2: 1.5 years. I submitted my EE profile and received correct points. I just reopened my profile and I can see that I have been given the points as if I have 4 years of experience. So don't be worried and go ahead.
2. Don't believe what your consultant or other are saying. Just go ahead and create an Express Entry profile. Complete it and submit it to see how many points you get. I am quite sure you will be assessed as 3 years of work experience.
A lot of people have breaks in their careers. Do you think they all will lose the months they worked in every job? The only requirement in terms of continuous work is minimum 1 year which you clearly fulfill.
PS. you consultant sounds stupid. just use him until the point you have paid him and ditch him.

Dear,
I have 4 months of work in my 1st job and continuous 13 months of work in my 2nd job. Is it eligible to count 1 year continuous? I got ITA already. Thanks heaps!
