I got a job offer at Marriott hotel as a cook and I want to know if this genuine because I was told to pay 500$ to be registered under the company. Can you please help check if this is genuine

It will be fake given Marriott would not ask to pay any money and unlikely anyway they would be recruiting a cook from outside of Canada. See link below that whilst old it is still relevant

Generally any job offer that asks for a fee or even offers accommodation, flights, food will be a scam as are most hotel/construction/oil/gas offers
