I am a Filipino with a V-1 visa valid until next year. I also have a job offer under the International Experience Canada program. Can I apply for a work permit from inside Canada?
According to CIC website, application for a work permit from inside Canada is valid for those who have a temporary resident PERMIT. What I have, however, is a temporary resident VISA. Is this counted, or do I really need to apply for my work permit in my home country?
I think another option is for me to apply through the Los Angeles Canadian Visa Office. Am I right that this is possible even if I am a Filipino citizen, as long as I have a non-immigrant US visa (B1/B2)?
