I have a bsc in economics and also a masters degree in communications and media studies . I have always had a thing for cuisine. I have a certificate in catering and I’m also considering applying for a culinary course (diploma) to become a certified chef. Will I be granted a visa since it’s very different from my previous knowledge ? And I need professional advice urgently

Be very difficult because you have a Masters and you have to show education progresssion and show career advancement. You have to show higher pay to justify costs. Why do you need to come to Canada for a culinary course anyways? IRCC will wonder why.

What is your current job? What are career plans? Why do you need to come to Canada for a culinary course? Lots of great programs that aren’t in Canada or maybe in your home country?

I’m still rounding up my masters while working part time as a kitchen assistant in a restaurant . Career plans is to actually own or run a fine dining restaurant or events. Canada because there’s a demand for chefs and it’s easier to chef jobs when you have the red seal exam from Canada. In my home country the culinary schools aren’t really recognized most people I knew had to travel abroad for another certification

So trying to immigrate by studying. Want to show that you are a genuine student and not trying to immigrate. If you want to immigrate look at Express Entry or PNP programs. You have to show career progression as a chef in own country. Look at MBA.
