Hi there,
My son is Canadian born and has just married his girlfriend that he has been living with. She is in Canada on a student visa that will expire in October 2017. They have a marriage licence and just received the marriage certificate. We have tried looking on line for info as to what steps need to be taken but can not find very much info. wondering if anybody knows the procedure that needs to be taken before her visa expires. I have been told that she needs to apply for a visitors visa but there seems to be more than one type.
Thank you for any help

I just bumped into your post by accident. I am not a consultant nor a lawyer. However, it seems complicated. I suggest you have them see an immigration lawyer for this just to be sure. Just saying.
