Hi guys, on 18 April I sent an email to the visa office (LVO) via webform asking about my status as it had exceeded normal processing time, but surprisingly I received pre-arrival service email on 26 April. After a few weeks on 13 May, I got a reply from LVO saying “Please be advised that this application awaits the review of an immigration officer. Once this review has taken place, we will be in contact.”

1. My question is, is this update from visa office for the day that I raised the request (on 18 April) or is this update for the day when the VO replied to me (on 13 May)?

2. If I have already received pre-arrival service, that means they have reviewed my file, so what is the review here said by the VO?

1. Its the update until the day they got back to you.
2. Pre Arrival is a pass on PA’s eligibility and not an approval of your application. What they meant when they said by pending review by an immigration officer means that the processing is almost done and pending review by a senior officer who will then make a decision on your application after which you will get your Passport Request Letter if positive or a procedural fairness letter stating their intention to not approve your application and giving you an opportunity to provide proof against whatever concern they have. However, it usually happens when they don’t find a relationship to be genuine but in your case since you have received your pre arrival, (and on the note that you pass your BGC), the outcome will be in your favour. Good Luck.
