I submitted my application on October 2nd and just realizing that I’m supposed to have submitted my SOP alongside other documents when I submitted my application.
Now, my question is can I still get a request regarding SOP or I’m liable to automatic denial for not adding it?
Please I need response

It is not a required document so IRCC will not ask for it. You can raise a webform with the SOP. Whether it is included in the application will not be known until you get a decision.

Thank you for the swift response, Naturgrl. Please how do I go about that? I’m really worried at the moment. I’ve been expecting them to request this for so long and I hope finding an alternative route to upload it will still meet up with it? Because it’s 49 calendar days since I submitted my application already.

They don’t have to ask for it. It is up to you to submit a complete application and SOP is not a mandatory document. Google - IRCC webform - and include the SOP.

It can take over 30 days for the SOP to be added to your file. There is a chance that the officer will make a decision without ever receiving your SOP. Assume this is for May 2023 and not January since processing is 12-14 weeks.
