I'm so sorry to just barge into this thread but I really need help regarding my Live-in Caregiver application.
I'm a registered nurse here in Manila, Philippines, so it's a given that I have completed my course. I have all docs completed except for one thing- I don't have any experience within the last 3 years!
What can I do? My LMO will expire by March 2014. What else can I do? Why was I issued an LMO if in the first place I'd be oresented with this kind of difficulty? Please help me understand. I can't help it but cry.
I thought that the LMO was just to confirm that there is a requirement for a foreign worker in a position.
As I understand it, it doesn't guarantee that a particular foreign worker is qualified to take the position.
I don't understand what you are asking. To apply for the work permit, you either need to meet the education requirements OR the experience requirements. If you meet at least one of these - you can apply for the LCP work permit.
If you do not meet at least one of these requirement - then the LMO is useless.
You would need to first gain either experience or education before obtaining a new LCP LMO and then applying for a work permit.
Then your basis for your application is your education. Dont worry if u dont have a experience. Got my visa yesterday. RN with no experience. There are 3 basis in LICP. 1. BSN or education 2. 6 mos Caregiver 3. A year of experience. Choose one.
Really? Wow! I have a degree in nursing so that would suffice? That's so good to hear! I really thought O had to have experience in order to qualify for the job.
I was so afraid to submit/file my application because I might waste my LMO applying for a post I dont qualify for. Thanks again!
