I am basically from India. I currently working in USA on H1B from 2012 and the current visa is valid till Dec 2016 and again valid for extension. I have 9 years of experience as a Programmer/Senior Associate/... Now I would love to work in Canada. So looking for Work Permit.
Can any one please let me know am I eligible to work in Canada. Please let me know the process to get Canada work permit.
In order to qualify for a work permit - you first have to find an employer in Canada willing to offer you a full time job. That employer then needs to obtain an approrved LMIA (this process takes a number of months and costs the employer $1K). If the LMIA is approved, you can then apply for a work permit.
