Hello! My question is about living in my parents' house (in Canada) with my spouse, and how we can prove we live together.

The house is owned by my parents and all the bills are under their name too, which means we don't have any proof of joint ownership or joint rental contracts or joint utility bills.

Any ideas on how to prove that we live together in this case? Should my parents write a letter to explain that we are allowed to live with them, or maybe draft a joint rental contract for us? (they won't feel comfortable drafting a 'real' rental contract, so the monthly rent will be really low like $25/month - which may seem bogus?)

If anyone has any experience or ideas, please let me know!

Hi

Get a notarized letter from your parents confirming you live with them.
