Humber Information Technology Solutions - Need Help Sept 2014 Intake

Hi,

I want to study in Humber College for IT solutions 2 year certificate program. Recently I saw a lot of posts in this forum complaining about the job market in Canada and how colleges lure international students to make profits. I have a few queries and need honest opinion on them.

My Background

10th - 84 percent
12th - 67 percent
Bsc. Multimedia and Animation (65 percent with no backlogs)

Work Experience - Mostly freelance web development.

My questions

1. Is this the right course for me? I want to take the course so that I can get a stable job after completing this certificate?
2. If I don't get a job let's say 2-3 months after completing the course will I still be eligible for the 3 year stay back?
3. The course has no co-op but career connections module...if you know anything about this course or some relevant course please let me know.
4. Are certificates valued in Canada?
5. If I don't get job after doing IT course can I use my web development & animation background from India to apply to relevant jobs?
6. Finally, how easy it is to pay off 26000 CAD of student loan even I work part time or maybe a low wage full time job after completing the certificate?

Please let me know guys. I am getting mixed opinion from people and I am really confused right now. Do you also think that I should pursue some course related to my web development field for better job opportunity.

Btw you are opting for Database Profile or Enterprise Profile.

I think Enterprise. But the first year is same so I guess I can decided at the end of first year.

I dont think you have an option to switch in the middle as the offer letter i have from humber clearly mentions that i am in Enterprise Development

Ohh in that case I am like 90 percent sure I will stick to the enterprise stream. However, I am still in lots of doubt regarding work opportunities and stuff after completing this certificate course...especially since it does not have any co-op. By the way do you know this...my 2nd question... is 3 year guaranteed after 2 years of certificate course.

hey guys mee to interested in humber college... IT course (networking)
my profile is 10th : 54%
12th : 72% but no maths in 12th
Degree BCA : 65% with one backlog in maths .... cleared in first attempt...
1 year exp as a computer operator
6 months training in networkin in IT company..
IELTS : 7 overall
wanna apply for pgd in networking 2 years..
