How to sponsor an illegitimate independent child?

My dad is a permanent resident of Canada and he is staying in Kelowna. He is planning to sponsor me and I want to know if I'm eligible. I'm 21 years old and turning 22 September this year. I wasn't able to finish college because of financial reasons and currently I am working and living on my own. I read that I should be a dependent child and should be studying in order for him to sponsor me. Is that true? Or is it better if we'll not declare that I'm already working. If I'm not eligible for sponsorship, what else can I and my father do so that I can go to Canada? help me please..

If he files the application before your 22nd birthday, your age will be "locked in" and it will not be necessary for you to be studying full-time, as per the definition of a dependent child. You may not marry or become a common-law partner, however, unless you return to school full-time.

is under the age of 22 and does not have a spouse or common-law partner; << (Currently you fit this definition)
is over the age of 22 and has been continuously enrolled as a full-time student and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22;
became a spouse or a common-law partner before the age of 22 and has been continuously enrolled as a full-time student and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since becoming a spouse or common-law partner, or
is over the age of 22 and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22 because of a physical or mental condition.
