how to send letter of explanation for visitor visa

Hi

I have applied visitor visa for all my family members ( me, my wife and two kids ) from inside Canada on 3rd September 2016 through online. But i didn't hear anything yet as I am assuming I did some mistake while I submit the application. Now I want to send a Letter of explanation by giving details explanation of few of the point of my application. I am wondering if anyone can advise how do I submit that letter of explanation through online.

Since it's already submitted, there's no way for you to upload an additional form/letter. CIC will notify you if they need additional documents via your online account and that is when you can again see the upload button.

My girlfriend just submitted hers and after that she has no option to upload another document.
