I am a Canadian citizen and on holidays in Malaysia I met a wonderful woman and we decided to get married there. Now I am in the process of sponsoring her. However, the CIC does not believe that our marriage is genuine. How do I prove that our marriage is truly genuine? We have pictures, copy of emails, plane ticket stubs, marriage certificate (in Malaysia), etc. My friends have told me that if my wife is pregnant with my baby there would be no doubt. Do I have any other options?
Recently the CIC seems to have adopted a tougher stance and say that if a marriage is truly genuine and to prevent her from running away once she lands in Canada that it would be better to wait until she's pregnant. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You can pull together any correspondence, proof of financial support, proof of life insurance beneficiaries, cohabitation, letters from family and friends.
How long did you know each other before getting married and sponsoring? Maybe the solution to the barrier is for you to live with her in Malaysia for a few years.
I agree with Heatherusa - a baby is not proof. A friend of mine met a guy, she became pregnant, they got married and applied for immigration. It *is* a genuine relationship but they were rejected and spent two years appealing while he couldn't even visit Canada to meet his son. Today he will meet his 2 year old son for the first time. DON'T BRING A BABY INTO A DIFFICULT SITUATION LIKE THIS!!! It just makes everything more stressful and difficult and won't guarantee a successful application.
As for evidence, if you're you have enough you can put together a list and post it and get some opinions on that. But, if you met this woman while on holiday and married her before knowing her for at leat 6 months to a year, you may need to seriously consider living together for a while and then applying because otherwise you will have a difficult time proving a genuine relationship. Either she comes to Canada on a visitor's visa or you go to Malaysia.
I would hope you can understand why even the most genuine relationship is going to raise red flags if you meet, get married and apply for immigration within a short period.
Thank you for the advice guys. I met her in a coffee shop and when we got married we had known each other for about seven months. Yeah, I'm gonna have her visit me in Canada on a visitor's visa.
