We just finished organizing our entire file in display book/plastic sleeves only to read in the immigrant document checklist NOT to do it that way! Also, we taped evidence of our relationship and pictures to paper and slid them in the sleeves, only for it to be loose! How annoying! What is the best way to organize the file? (just paperclip, separate envelopes for each application and all evidence, etc...)
Also, it says that the immigrant must provide 8 passport photos of himself and each family member. Surely they don't want 8 photos of me, the sponsor? I have enclosed 4. Is this right? I can't see them wanting that many from me as they are not issuing me a visa so they won't need photos for that.
There was a long thread of posts on how to organize, so you'd be better to look that up. Lots of good suggestions -- the best one was mine, I recall. LOL
Regarding photos, I don't think CIC wants your photos; they want photos of the applicant (the one being sponsored for a visa). However, to be safe, provide 8 photos of each of you, and they can't then return the application for being incomplete. More is better with government.
I think that's intended to mean family members who are immigrating with him. I'd probably try to get clarification from CIC if you can't find a definition in the guide of what they mean.
Use strong paper clip to hold the papers together.
Put photos in small envelopes, mark over the envelopes and add them to the clip.
Send whatever photos they require. It won't cost you too much any way. If they got any extra photos, finally they will be return back to you along with the passports.!!.
You have done a very good job with your application kit.!!, Good luck.
