In order for my son to apply for a Canadian citizenship, he needs a certified copy of his father's Canadian birth certificate. We live in Arizona and it is illegal for an Arizona notary to notarize a birth certificate.
How can we certify a copy of a Canadian birth certificate when we live in Arizona?
Contact the Vital Statistics office for the Province or Territory of birth in Canada to get a certified true copy/extract - a Google search will put you in the right direction. Only a select list of people can apply for birth certificates so if you don't meet the criteria you need to get a court order.
