My husband's file has been transferred to the visa office (Taipei) as of Aug 19th. At this point, he doesn't have his Client ID # yet. He needs to change the mailing address we provided on the application before the AOR is sent to him. What is the proper way of handling this?
Thanks.
well my husband had to change his address also. We are dealing with delhi. Since you have not gotten your file # yet I would call CIC Miss and ask them what you should do since your file I am assuming is still in Canada, they might be able to see your number if they have assigned one yet. They might beable to change it for you. Once the file leaves canada and you need to change it you have to fax the visa office handling your file, using your spouses date of birth and file number and old address and what the new address is. But if your file is still in canada the best thing is call CIC and they should be able to instruct you after it leaves canada its the visa office that you have to deal with. Hope this helps

Thanks boyee6576. I called CIC this morning. The file is now in Taipei. The agent told me to email or fax the visa office and inform them of the new address.
Thanks again =)
I took no chances I did both, fax and email. It took some time for the change to show up on ecas but it will show up. I think it was about a month before they showed the new address.
