How to get visitor record?

Hello, my mum is on visitor visa and i want to extend her stay but for that she needs visitor record. so how do i get that?

If she is already in Canada as a visitor and has not previously extended then all that is important is to apply before her current status expires either indicated by passport stamp or the default 6 months, no stamp.

As far as aware but maybe wrong would not have an actual visitor record unless has already extended before given the extension creates a visitor record. This is my interpretation only based on the application documentation
