How to get passport back from CIC

So I got PPR today. The issue is my passport is at CIC ottawa CPC for temp resident visa. It was unexpected.

How can I get them to send the passport back without processing as it will take time before they process it for the temp visa. Timing is tricky and I want to land ASAP. I guess I cant just ask them to issue the PR visa instead.

Call them and cancel your visa application; CSE takes forever!
