How to get a top up degree evaluated?

Hello everyone,

I'm planning to apply for an EOI, maybe next year to a couple of provinces, but here is my situation. I have a two year long diploma from a public college in Canada and now I'm planning to complete a top-up degree in France or UK for better job opportunities. However, I'm not really sure if WES will evaluate my top-up degree as a Bachelors or not. Does anyone has any experience with WES in regards to getting your top-up degree evaluated?

I contacted them a few times but every time it's just a vague generic reply every time.

Do CIC even recognize top-up degrees? Any comments/thoughts are welcome.

WES will require your both degrees, doing an extra diploma will not work for you. If you are going for a degree than WES will recognize it if you will do it from a recognize university (list available on WES website)

I'm doing it from a recognized institute which is listed on WES website. But it's only a one year long degree as it's a top up degree done after completing an undergraduate Diploma. Will that be a problem? I'd appreciate your reply.

They look at the entirety of your transcripts and diplomas so if you submit all your transcripts and diplomas it will probably be fine.

i got my HND and 1 year top up degree evaluated and it came back as 4 year bachelor degree

That's interesting. But I wonder if as an Indian citizen, if they'll consider my Bachelors Degree and Diploma from Canada and consider it as a Bachelors degree. I guess time will tell.

Did you send both certificates or just the degree certificate ?

I'm in the process of getting started with my express entry profile. However I am having concerns with my ECA evaluation as I have completed a BTEC HND from Pearson (2 years) and then completed a top up year degree in the UK (Engineering). Will the WES evaluate this as an equivalent to a Canadian Bachelor's degree?

Hi,

My 3 year bachelor's degree in the UK was recognized by WES as an equivalent of a degree earlier. Now, I have a PG Diploma and intend pursuing MBA (top-up) from Arden University online.

I couldn't the WES approved list of universities/programs. Would my MBA (top-up) along with my PG diploma transcripts be recognized as a full degree? Has anyone done that?

I'm also interested in Australian EOI later, so if anyone has idea about that please let me know. Thanks for your support!
