How to find mentor in Canadian Railroad industry

Hi, where shall I began if I have to find some mentor from Canadian railway industry ? Though I'm following some relevant job related threads on Reddit & there are some railroaders as well but not able to get in touch with anyone. Even tried connecting people from same profession i.e CP/CN railway, Via Rail, C-Transit etc over LinkedIn, but there is not much communication happening. Please guide me.
I plan to get as much information as possible before I land there as PR by doing this I will be in a better position to crack job interview I suppose.
