I extended my study permit and its valid for another 7 months. However I also wanted to apply for a TRV since my current TRV is expired. But when I went to the application page, I noticed that they asked for proof of enrollment for future semesters.
But the thing is I just completed my program this semester. So I am not studying in any future semester there.
So now how can I get the TRV? I wanted to go to my home country and come back while my study permit was still valid and then apply for a work permit.

I am not sure if you can do that as you no longer a student. Best option if you completion letter and other required documents is to flagpole to the nearest US/CAN border and apply for pgwp...once approved and issued, apply to extend trv

I thought PGWP applications take time? Can you just walk up to a border and ask for it directly? And will they make the decision on the spot?

Legally, yes you can and they can make decision on spot. Make sure your current TRV and SP is valid, otherwise you will stuck at the border... Make sure to research which border crossing to use and the day and time to flagpole and apply

My SP is valid but not my TRV
Unless....... is it possible to travel to USA and back to Canada without a valid TRV? I have a valid US Visa and I think I read somewhere about them making exceptions for USA-Canada travel

Hi. I'm in a similar situation. Can you please tell how you went about with your TRV application, if at all you did it?
