You can exchange it for an Ontario driver's licence. The type of licence you can get depends on your driving experience you have in UK. UK has a reciprocal agreement with Ontario for driver's licence.

Just call dvla and ask them to send you driving history, plus get letter from insurance company and any old policies if you got.
