Hi All,
I graduated in April 2012. And started working from May 1, 2012 in NOC B. I was working on Off campus work permit until I got my PGWP on July 3, 2012.
Now my Ontario PNP file is already in process but as most of us know that it is too slow, so I am considering to apply for CEC as well.
Now my question is, when my 1 year of work experience counts completed on May 1, 2013 or on July 3, 2013?
I would really appreciate your input and suggestions.
Thanks,
Your experience will only be counted after the degree was conferred to you AND you got your PGWP. Any experience before either will not count. So in your case it will be from July 3, 2012 to July 3, 2013 (assuming you're working full time i.e. at least 37.5 hrs/week. Make sure you dont apply before July 3, 2013. Few people on the forum have been rejected because of incorrectly counting their experience. In fact, just to be on the safe side, apply around 2 weeks after July 3, 2013.
Also, any unpaid vacation period is not counted towards your experience.

Note: Work experience gained during your studies does not count toward meeting the requirements for work experience. Only work experience gained after graduation can be counted.
