4 to 6 weeks seriously? My MP's assistant is very nice lady sometimes she get me an update with in couple of hours or sometimes within two days

I am really puzzled. Why does my MP assistant need so much time to ask for me since so many friends got reply within 2 days? :o
 
I too contacted MP recently and she replied in2 days and then within a week I.e yesterday I got PCC request from CIC.

My friend who is an Oct 2013 applicant still waiting for the infinitely long background/criminal check. Already contacted the MP more than 4-5 times over the span of 6 months, but it doesnt do anything yet. Nothing shown on the GCMS notes as well regarding any MP contacts. So I guess there are MP who rather busy themselves with other priorities...

CIC Application recvd. - Feb 13 2014
AOR received March 10th 2014
PCC request May 9 2015.
its been long wait and in between i applied gcms notes and as usual went to second review.
 
After two weeks, my MP tells me she still has not asked CIC about our application and the waiting time is 6 weeks. Since she is stuck in some urgent things, our request will be delayed further. :'(
