How to complete Landing for dependent son on Ontario-New york borders

Hi All,


I am getting PR of my yououngerson in few days. Me ,my wife and my elder son we all 3 already have Canadian PR. We all are in Caanada currently. My younger son is on visitor visa in Canada for now.

I have few quetsions on Landing process now . I would need your advise and help on this case.



Need advise on below 2 options :--

a) As I heard that on peace bridge we can simply take U-Turn and no need to go to USA side for completing landing..So planning to go with whole Family at peace bridge and take U-TURN there to complete landing for my younger son. But with this option sI ahve questions like a) Is U-turn still available on peace bridge b) Wil lit be fine if with ou younger son i do take my wife and elder son as well ? c) How the exit entry days wil get counted for us ?

b) My wife is planning to go to India next month, Is it fine if she can complete landing instead of me ( I am sponsor of applictaion) when she comes back after 3 months ?




Please advise.

You cannot exactly just do a u turn when flagpoling you have to actually approach US immigration and get an adminstrative refusal document before returning to the Canadian side. US CBP are used to doing this so should be no issue and has zero effect on future entry to the US but without doing this you would not have left Canada.

. Exit and entry days are not relevant given day anyone leaves or day enter Canada are still counted as days in the country.
