I have a job offer through my partner's family in British Columbia. They don't have an LMO and it is required for me. What is the likelihood of a company to be approved for an LMO? I know that there aren't many people out where they live, but the work isn't exactly in high demand. Does having a person already in mind for the position help? What are my chances of being approved if I arrived at the border with the offer letter and all the supporting documents without an LMO and the LMO being approved at the border?

1. No LMO, No Work Permit.
2. They have to submit an application for a LMO to HRSDC (depending on the skill level)and will have to advertise the position for 4 weeks on the job bank and 2 other places before applying for the LMO. They will have to demonstrate that any PRs/Citizens who applied were not qualified and you were the best qualified. The salary must meet the average for the local area.
