Applied for Indian passport renewal and got a new passport- how to associate the PR card with the new passport.

The reason I am asking is because - at USA they will generate new i94 based on the new passport since my old i94 was cut short till passport validity and not i797.

Now, when I come back to Canada -I only use the PR card to enter- not sure if that will get registered and my i94 will reflect correctly.

What does I94 has to do with Canadian entry?

Basically- when I enter Canada- I don't scan my passport - only use the PR card to enter.
Currently- since my PR card is linked with my current passport - thus I think the i94 exit from USA gets reflected correctly.

Thus the question here is - when I get my new passport and scan my PR card to enter Canada- will the exit from US get registered correctly ?

Note - on the next US entry - I will associate my new passport to US records so i94 entry will get updated , however, the exit I wanted to get an idea on since I think it may be linked to my PR card i.e. my old passport
