How much time does it take to passport to get stamped?

I live in Detroit. I have applied for a Canadian visitor visa. Passport got delivered in Ottawa office on 5th November. How much time would it take to get stamped and deliver it to me? Is there any place I can track?

My husband's passport was delivered 10 days ago. Still waiting.

I guess you have to wait for the fedex return envelope to be activated.

It took 16 calendar days to get it back.

problem is Im leaving on nov/21 my flight is already booked and im afraid i have to change/cancel my flight if i don't get my passport back

From my recent experience, Your passport will get shipped on 2 days after counterfoil update. Delivery depends on which service you used for package delivery (Express, ground etc.). In my case, I used FedEx 1-day delivery. So I will be receiving my passport tomorrow. Here is my timeline after counterfoil.
Counterfoil updated: November 13th
Passport shipped: November 15th
Expected delivery: November 16th

In my case, I used FedEx 1-day delivery. So I will be receiving my passport tomorrow. Here is my timeline after counterfoil.

Expected delivery: November 16th
