Can anybody help me with this information, that how much time usually it takes for CIO to communicate after the draft has been encashed by the CIO. My draft was encashed on the 23rd June 2009.
Hi Rocky, since no one else answered your question, let me share you my experience after filing with CIO almost 3 months ago.
CIO received my application on 4/15/09.
Draft was encashed on around 4/23/09.
I received emailed 120-day letter to submit full application on 5/27/09.
To answer your question, it took a month in my situation and as you know, each individual application varies. Hopefully, someone with a more recent filing experience will respond after I did.

Issued Acknowledgement letter---- 17 Feb 2009
Received in hand------------------01 March 2009
In recent cases, CIO are issuing e-mail also. So wait accordigly.
Don't worry about the time you might see the timeline at the CIO for people who applied on or before april shorter, i think it is getting longer now because they have already instructed the other two categories' applications (2 and 3 ) to be submitted to the CIO too along with category (1), i think that might be the main reason of increasing time.
